MHP Structural Engineers welcomes our newest Project Engineer, Sophia Looney, BS,MS,EIT. Before joining MHP this month, Sophia was with Thornton Tomasetti in Chicago, IL from December 2021 – 2023 as a Structural Designer.
Originally from Seattle, and having lived in Chicago, Sophia was itching to get back to the sunshine on the west coast, which ultimately led her to Southern California and MHP.
Sophia holds a Bachelors and Master’s in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
Outside of the office, Sophia loves to exercise, run on the beach, read and paint. She is also pursuing her Professional Engineering exam in the near future to continue growing in her career.
