Tower 591 is a 12-story Class A office building enclosing approximately 183,000-sf, constructed in 1972. The building has undergone multiple renovations (most recently in 2018) and is served by an adjacent two- to three-level parking structure. MHP was retained to assist with assessment services for a commercial real estate transaction.

MHP’s consulting services consisted of an ASTM-compliant Level 1 Seismic Risk Assessment to provide our client with an independent third-party opinion of expected seismic performance. Services provided included a field assessment by a California Licensed engineer, review of the site-specific geologic seismic hazard, and a determination of building damage for the client-specified return period earthquake hazard.
