Advanced Technology & Education Park

TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA

The Advanced Technology & Education Park for Irvine Valley College is currently housed at a 1-1/2 acre facility adjacent to its future 68 acre expanded campus development. The McCarthy, D+D and MHP team was selected to design and build the first building for the new campus setting. Intending to set the aesthetic standards for the future campus. The College empowered the team to envision an iconic building that would spark innovation and ingenuity of its users group.

Housing 30,000 sf, the new building includes a tall one-story fabrication shop and lab wing separated from a two-story administrative office and classroom wing by a large, high-volume, central lobby space for collaborative activities and instructional presentations. With LEED Gold programming goal, the building will include passive energy technology, significant natural light, and energy management enhancements.
