The project consists of a major renovation to the existing 3-story classroom and administration building including seismic strengthening and full interior space architectural renovations on each floor. The building serves as a teaching building with classrooms, administrative offices, and a ground floor lecture hall.

The Health Sciences Building was originally constructed circa 1974 and is a rectangular-shaped 3-story steel-framed building with a separate concrete and CMU masonry stair and elevator tower to the north and two separate concrete stairs towers to the south.
