MHP is excited to announce our summer intern class of 2025. We are thrilled to have a talented group of aspiring structural engineers join us this summer. From designing safer and smarter structures to exploring the future of the built environment, their passion and curiosity are the foundation of innovation as we empower our next generation.
Joining our Long Beach office are:
Kline Nickel – Graduated in the spring of 2025 with her BS in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She’ll be returning to Cal Poly in the fall to pursue a master’s degree with a June 2026 graduation target.
Sarahi Herrera – Pursuing her BS in Civil Engineering with a Structural Focus at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She will be wrapping up her degree during the Fall 2025 quarter.
Joshua Romero – Graduated in the spring of 2024 with his BS Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and is currently pursuing his Masters in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego with an expected completion date in December of 2025.
Joining our San Diego office are:
Kate Andersen, EIT – Graduated in the spring of 2025 with her BS in Structural Engineering with a focus in Civil Structures from UC San Diego. She is continuing this fall at UC San Diego to pursue her Master’s in Structural Engineering with a focus in Earthquake Engineering and will graduate in December 2026.
Alexandra Kersting– Graduated in spring of 2025 with her BS in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She is continuing her education this fall at UC San Diego to pursue her masters in Structural Engineering.
