Christina Nguyen (Tina) joined MHP in 2022 and has quickly become an integral part of the team as a CAD/BIM Designer. In her role, she supports the drafting of structural designs for MHP’s engineers, helping the team meet project deadlines and easing workloads for her colleagues.

Early on, Tina played a key role in drafting for the Mt. San Antonio College Technology & Health project, a 4-story, 272,000 sq. ft. replacement building, which is now under construction, a full-circle moment from paper to build. Currently, she is drafting for multiple projects, including a new building at Monroe Elementary School for Santa Ana USD, a new Target store in Victorville, CA, and a new Sunrise Senior Living Community in San Marcos, CA.

Tina holds a BA in Urban Studies (Planning, Policy, & Design) from the University of California, Irvine. Her path into engineering and CAD/BIM was anything but linear. After graduation, she explored different roles—starting in the planning department at Bellflower City Hall, moving to the building department at the City of Covina, and later joining VCA Structural as an administrative assistant. It was there that she discovered her interest in CAD/BIM.

Eager to grow, Tina took Revit classes and completed online courses in drafting and BIM modeling. Her dedication and persistence paid off when she transitioned into VCA’s CAD/BIM department, setting her on the path to the career she had been working toward.

Tina also plays a key role in shaping MHP’s company culture, organizing happy hour events at local breweries and consistently bringing the team together to unwind after a day’s work. Outside of drafting, she enjoys reading, playing pickleball, and has recently picked tennis back up.

MHP is proud to support Tina’s growing career, and her dedication to her role has been truly impressive. We are grateful for all she contributes to the CAD/BIM team and look forward to her continued success and future at MHP.
