Kyle White, S.E. joined MHP in 2007 after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with his Architectural Engineering degree. As an Associate/Project Manager, he now leads a growing team of 5 engineers specializing in seismic evaluation and retrofit. Always looking for opportunities for us to “sharpen our pencils”, he has helped expand MHP’s non-linear analysis and performance-based design capabilities.

Currently, the seismic team is working on numerous ongoing evaluation and retrofit projects throughout Southern California. From strengthening of existing floors supporting new loading to seismic retrofit of non-ductile concrete high-rise buildings in pursuit of Ordinance compliance or adaptive reuse, Kyle enjoys a challenge and finding the best solution for MHP’s clients.

Kyle is an active participant in the SEAOSC (Structural Engineers Association of Southern California) Existing Building Committee and a CalOES SAP evaluator. He is also part of MHP’s SE 2050 Commitment to Sustainability as a committee member.

Outside of the office, Kyle enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and son. Kyle is a BJCP Recognized Beer Judge, and in a past life, his German-style Pilsner was awarded first place out of 253 entries in the final round of the National Homebrew Competition.

We are extremely grateful to Kyle’s dedication to MHP for nearly two decades and are proud of the leadership role he has taken on within our Seismic group. We look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the future. Cheers!
