Daniel Fox, S.E. joined MHP in 2006 after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Architectural Engineering. As an Associate and Project Manager, he leads a team of talented engineers within MHP’s Design Division.

His notable recent work includes seismic retrofits for three aging hospital campuses across Southern California, the major renovation and addition to the iconic Long Beach Yacht Club, the construction of the new Henry Elementary School campus in Anaheim, and the new gymnasium at Long Beach Jordan High School. Dan also oversees the structural design of most Target retail stores throughout the western United States.

As MHP’s Sustainability Committee Leader, Dan is proud to help drive initiatives that reduce the embodied carbon footprint of our built environment.

Dan is also deeply committed to advancing the structural engineering profession and supporting future generations of engineers. Through his involvement with SEAOSC (Structural Engineers Association of Southern California) —where he currently serves as President-Elect—he has influenced key organizational initiatives, advocated for the profession at both local and statewide levels, and supported programs that strengthen the pipeline of emerging talent.

Outside the office, Dan spends most of his time on the sidelines—coaching his son’s soccer and baseball teams or cheering for his daughter at dance recitals and gymnastics practices. And whenever there’s time to spare, you can likely find him on a golf course or racing down a mountain bike trail.

Dan’s two decades of dedication to MHP and his leadership within our design team—and among the next generation of engineers—continue to elevate our firm. We look forward to seeing his impact grow in the year ahead.
