The Riverglen Apartments in Los Angeles, California is a three-building, linear, 4-story, 120 unit apartment/condominium project to be constructed over 2 levels of semi-subterranean parking. The steep hillside site provides structural challenges including substantial retaining conditions that will be addressed with temporary tie-back anchors and buttressed retaining walls. The four residential levels will be constructed with light wood framing. The parking levels will be constructed with conventional two-way concrete slabs and reinforced concrete shear walls.
