Comprising four buildings, the Chino Hills Government Center is now home to City Hall, City Library, a Fire Department Administration Center and Sheriff’s Center. Four diverse structures were coordinated with similar construction methods to achieve cost efficiencies and fulfill specific individual needs. The structural design included structural steel combined with concrete masonry and heavy glue-laminated timber members. Proprietary SidePlate^TM steel moment-resisting frames were used for the lateral force-resisting system.
