The new Fine Arts Center is the first building in the new humanities department at the CSUB campus. The design of the new space included consideration for movable partitioning to provide flexibility in teaching spaces, and high bay ceilings equipped with an interconnecting overhead monorail crane system. The studios are organized around a central courtyard. The ceramics, sculpture and printing studio open to a large covered service yard to the south. When combined with the service and court yards the usable space is doubled. All studios have extensive northern daylight as well as shaded circulation provided by covered walkways. The project is designed to LEED Silver equivalent.

The Central Plant project consists of a new one-story building enclosing 3,000-sf to complement the existing HVAC support housed in Plant Operations, and a fenced yard area for new cooling tower facilities enclosing approximately 3,000-sf.
