The new 34,000 square foot Service Center Office and Warehouse complex at Burbank Water and Power holds LEED Platinum status. The project consists of a two-story 19,000 square foot office building with an adjacent 15,000 square foot high-bay warehouse. Additional truck high and passenger car parking canopies and iconic entry structure carry 1,074 photovoltaic panels, saving $53,000 in electric cost annually. The architecture of the solar carports compliments the Art Deco style found in many Burbank landmarks, and the steel solar panel supports resemble airplane wings to pay tribute to Burbank’s rich aviation history.
