MHP Values STEM Education and working with local school districts

MHP Principal Terry Fernandez and Project Manager, Associate, Kathy Rantowich hosted a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Presentation for two middle school classes in the Paramount Unified School District. The first class was a general engineering course where the kids learn about different types of engineering. The second, was a green architecture course where they design a green building together as an entire class. It was extremely impressive to see how much the students were engaged and determined to build these standing structures.

STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. Innovation leads to new products and processes that sustain our economy. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in a STEM field.

MHP values the opportunity to work with these young students and help give them the foundation of skills necessary to succeed in STEM as well as in their future careers!
