MHP - Structural Engineers
Partners

The strength of MHP lies within the Partners' and Senior Managers' ability to pave the way for excellence through the guidance, experience and talents each contribute to the team.

Initially joining MHP in 1986, Terry Fernandez returned in 1998 following a short-term relocation to Georgia.  As a dynamic force for the Design & Retrofit team, she has perfected her structural engineering craft through her experience in the Georgia and Southern California markets.  A licensed Structural Engineer in California, Terry’s vision, expertise and leadership continues to contribute to MHP’s ability to excel.

Terry’s experience is varied, as she has been involved in the design, project management and construction administration of educational, medical, industrial, retail, commercial, and intuitional facilities.  She is currently responsible for overseeing the Target Corporation team, ensuring consistency in quality of service and customer satisfaction for one of MHP’s largest retail clients.  On a daily basis, Terry assures that her engineering team has the technical resources and guidance to perform at a superior level, while keeping the best interest and needs of clients as the forefront of their focus.

Terry prides herself on her personal drive to perform to the best of her ability in whatever she takes on at MHP.  While realizing the importance of attention to detail, she remains cognizant of the big picture.  As a Partner at MHP, her goals are focused on maintaining the quality of service that exceeds client’s expectations, while maintaining the quality of work atmosphere that is vital for her staff to succeed.

Terry graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. She focuses her attention outside of work on the most important part of her life, her “incredibly wonderful” daughter.  She enjoys cheering on her daughter’s soccer team and finding some peace and quiet doing Yoga in her free time.
