The strength of MHP lies within the Partners' and Senior Managers' ability to pave the way for excellence through the guidance, experience and talents each contribute to the team.
Rick Beall began his structural engineering career in Long Beach with James Hill & Associates, followed by 15 years with Bole & Wilson, Inc. During those 15 years, he solidified client relationships with local architects who specialized in civic projects, health care facilities, and schools. Following the merger with MHP in 2000, Rick brought his talents to the MHP team as a project manager for the Design group. As a licensed Structural Engineer in California, a large part of Rick’s time is dedicated to project management and mentoring young engineers. As one of three Partners managing the Design & Retrofit team, he oversees design production for MHP.
While his main structural focus has been working on senior living health care facilities, Rick’s extensive project base has allowed him to gain invaluable experience in a vast number of structural design areas. He has an extensive amount of experience working on hospital projects including new buildings, tenant improvement projects, and equipment anchorage. Projects completed under his direction have included new and remodel projects for numerous public school districts and civic governments throughout Southern California. From the start of design to the end of construction he excels at making lasting relationships with clients and contractors a priority.
Rick graduated from California Polytechnic University of San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering in 1984. He has been a lifelong resident of Long Beach with the exception of his college days. Rick makes spending time with his wife and two daughters a priority. He enjoys skiing in Mammoth, running in local events, and playing basketball. He also enjoys watching his daughters swim and play soccer.
