The strength of MHP lies within the Partners' and Senior Managers' ability to pave the way for excellence through the guidance, experience and talents each contribute to the team.
Since joining the MHP family in 1994, Brad E. Ferris has primarily worked within the Seismic Risk division. A licensed Structural Engineer in California, Brad has completed thousands of structural building evaluations and Probable Maximum Loss (PML) assessments for buildings ranging from industrial tilt-up and multi-family structures to high-rise offices. His expertise in seismic risk and analyzing PML enables him to fill a key role of support to the partners, colleagues, and clients of MHP.
As a Partner, Brad shares responsibility within the Seismic Risk group overseeing production and growth while maintaining quality control for projects. His daily tasks include, but are not limited to, performing structural evaluations and the design or seismic rehabilitation of significant projects varying in size, value, and location. His skills extend to overall analysis and design, project management, construction support, and preparing detailed PML reports for clients. His job warrants frequent travel throughout the Western United States especially to seismic hot spots in the Pacific Northwest including Portland, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay area.
Brad’s priority to be flexible and to meet his client’s needs quickly gives him the upper hand in providing superior service. Whether it is an immediate site visit requiring extended travel or implementing a detailed computer modeling analysis, his goal is simple: to use his technical knowledge to offer the highest level of security to his clients and their investments. His flexibility within the role he plays at MHP is crucial to the success of the division. He has knack to quickly pick up high volume production when needed.
Brad graduated cum laude from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis in 1993. He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOSC) and Chi Epsilon, a civil engineering honor society. A resident of Huntington Beach, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. He has backpacked several times in the Sierras with his wife, enjoys camping with his family, and playing golf.
