Job Openings

Engineering Positions

MHP is currently seeking engineering candidates in the following focused areas:

  • Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit
  • Equipment Anchorage
  • Structural Due-Diligence

Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit candidate shall have 3 years minimum experience in this focused area, SAP/ETABS expertise in non-linear (pushover and time history) building analysis with ASCE 41 experience.  Masters or PhD preferred with a PE license.

Equipment Anchorage candidate shall have 2 years minimum experience specializing in non-structural component anchorage of MEP, infrastructure and medical equipment.  Experience working with OSHPD & DSA plan review also a plus.

Due-Diligence candidate shall have 3 years minimum experience with a PE or SE.  Must have solid understanding of all lateral system types and good written/verbal communication skills. Expect some travel outside of Southern California to evaluate seismic risk of existing buildings in major west-coast cities.

CAD/BIM Designer (Entry Level Drafting Position)

Position Requirements

  • Candidate should have 1-2 years of training/education of Architectural or Structural CAD using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Revit experience preferred.
  • Internship or on-the-job experience is a plus, but not required.

Position Duties

  • You will create simple structural plans and details under the direction and supervision of a very experienced CAD/BIM team.
  • Work closely with and receive instructions from a number of different engineers in the office.
  • Create “as-built” plans based on legacy drawings for use on current upgrade or retrofit projects.
  • Scanning of large format drawings
